Postage Deposit Accounts

Postage deposit accounts do not apply to flat rate subscriptions, which are all inclusive. If you have a regular annual or bi-annual subscription, you must also set up a postage deposit account. We use this account to fund postage for forwarding mail to you and remailing mail for you.
We also use it to cover the cost of postcards (supplied to you at cost). Your postage deposit does not expire - it is transferred from one subscription to another. We just double the postage up to 250 Grams. This drops from 100% to 45% on a sliding scale. More info here.

Flat rate subscriptions

Every other maildrop company we have looked at has a fee structure based on a combination of an annual fee, a fee per item and postage per item. We also provide this fee structure.

We also have a simple single payment fee structure for low volume users. This is based on purchasing a fixed number of units. Each unit can be used for forwarding or remailing letters within a 12 month period. The single fee includes all postage and processing fees. All flat rate mail is sent by priority Airmail.

Suppose you subscribe to the 25 unit subscription - Your subscription ends 12 months later or when you have used your 25 units for forwarding or remailing - whichever comes first.

You cannot carry unused units through to your next subscription period

  • Choose the service you require from the "Our Prices/ Pay Here" page.
  • Make the necessary payment from the "Our Prices/ Pay Here" page.
  • Go to the "Subscribe" page. Submit your information by filling in the form.
 

Holding Mail

Yes. There is a charge for storing letters or parcels for more than about a week.
We cannot put a figure on these charges. It is entirely dependent on bulk / weight / duration. Contact us with your anticapated usage and we will give you a quotation.



When we have received your payment and information, we will send you a confirmation email with your new Irish address, etc. usually within one working day.


 


A guide to choosing your two names
  • You can choose any two names you like. These can be all business, all personal or any combination of business and personal.
  • If you have a common name like Smith you must use a forename - e.g. David Smith
  • If we find we have two John Smiths, we will use an address variation so as to make your database entry unique.
    Don't use generic names like "Sales Department" or "Accounts"
  • Suppose your business is called "Guinness Ltd", it is unnecessary to submit variations such as "Guinness Inc" or Guinness Wholesale or Guinness (UK) Ltd.
    Because Guinness is not a common business name it would be a waste three of your five available name slots.
    However if your business name is not very unique (e.g. Ace Ltd), we would need you to enter variations of that name as alternative names.
  • The same applies to personal names. If your name is not very common (e.g. John Morrisey) it is unnecessary to submit variations such as J. Morrisey.
    However if your name is not very unique (e.g. John Smith), we would need you to enter variations of that name as alternative names.
  • We don't mind if you add the name of a friend or relative as one of your chosen names. However, bear in mind, that all mail will be sent to the one address and we can only deal with the person who originally signed up.
  • You can add / remove / change names as often as you like, free of charge. All changes are done by e-mail request
Using our mail forwarding service.

No instructions are needed here really. Once you have given us your forwarding address all you have to do is wait for your mail to arrive. When you are writing mail, it is important to remember to always give your Irish address as your return address. (Don't forget to include "Ireland" as part of your address).



Using our remailing service for regular mail.
  • Prepare your mail as normal. (Use your Irish address as your return address).
  • Seal each envelope - Do not put stamps on the envelopes.
  • Address each envelope as normal - Make sure to include the name of the destination country in western script (Unless the destination country is Ireland).
  • Put all your addressed envelopes into a bigger envelope and seal it.
  • Address the big envelope to Irish Office at our Dublin 1 address.
  • Important - Write your account number somewhere on the front of this envelope.
  • Place the proper postage on the envelope and post it to us.
  • When we receive your big envelope we will open it - put the correct postage on each of the letters within and post them for you.
  • We will then send you an email confirming the number of items that have been remailed for you.
Using our remailing service for packages and parcels.
  • Prepare your packages as normal. (Use your Irish address as your return address).
  • Seal each package - Do not put stamps on the packages.
  • Address each package as normal - Make sure to include the name of the destination country in western script (Unless the destination country is Ireland).
  • Put all your addressed packages into a bigger package and seal it.
  • Address the big package to Irish Office at our Dublin 1 address.
  • Important - Enclose a sheet of paper with your account number.
  • We will also need the following information for the green CN 22 customs declaration sticker. Pictures of CN 22 here.
    • Description of contents (e.g. Documents, CDs, Books, Electronic Components)
    • Value (Values below €45 attract little attention)
    • Indicate whether the contents are: [Gift] or [Merchandise]
  • Place the proper postage on the large package and post it to us.
  • When we receive your big package we will open it - put the correct postage and the customs sticker on each of the packages within and post them for you.
  • We will then send you an email confirming the number of items that have been remailed for you.
  • NOTE: We will send you some blank Custom Declaration Stickers if you are going to use us regularly for parcel remailing.
